Community
The Let’s Go! Model includes efforts to increase physical activity and promote healthy eating in each of the six sectors that influence youth and families in the 12 Greater Portland communities. The Community Sector is key in creating the type and degree of behavior change necessary to combat the obesity epidemic. Families and youth spend a great deal of time recreating, socializing, attending meetings and events, and partaking in camp activities, amongst other things, in their communities.

Community Mini-Grants
The purpose of Let’s Go!’s Community Mini-Grant Program is to advance promising interventions as part of the Let’s Go! community effort to promote physical activity and healthy eating with a direct focus on policy and environmental changes.
