5-2-1-0 Bulletin Board -- Redy in Motion! Kindergarten Healthy Snacks Quilt - Yummy Art!
The 5-2-1-0 Goes to School program is the on the move at Eight Corners School. In the month of January the school is focusing on 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Classrooms are participating in healthy snack challenges and are being rewarded with physical activities such as dance parties, extra recess, and games in the gym. Also, the school has come up with a special 5-2-1-0 song that is being practiced in the classroom and will be sung on the morning announcements. Click here for the words to the song. In the lunchroom, the students are participating in “fruits and veggies time”. This is when students eat their fruits and vegetables for one minute while a fun song is playing and the teachers walk around promoting it with special signs. An ed tech in the building has made a beautiful 5-2-1-0 bulletin board in the main hallway for all to see, and it will change throughout the course of the year. A kindergarten class has made a wonderful healthy snacks quilt that will be hung next to the 5-2-1-0 banner for all to see. Things are going great here at Eight Corners and the students are getting healthier by the day!
