Zippel Elementary School, Presque Isle, Maine

Teachers, staff, and the Nutrition Services at Zippel Elementary School in Presque Isle are working very hard to support Let’s Go! 5-2-1-0 changes in their school. Along with dedicated Let’s Go! 5-2-1-0 champions, 100% of teachers at Zippel Elementary School signed up for the Maine-ly Nutrition and Take Time! Program this year. Teachers at Zippel Elementary know the importance of role modeling and every teacher is an advocate for healthy eating and active living. Along with student led coordination of the school health fair, the 5th grade classroom at Zippel Elementary will be participating in the WittFitt Pilot Project where they will be replacing each students chair with stability balls. This year, 100% of staff and students at Zippel Elementary also participated in ACES day dancing out an active routine created by the schools PE Teacher.
